Our site was hacked/attacked 2 days ago and hopefully it is now fixed. However we are considering just shutting down the site at this point. We no longer have the amount of volunteers, time, and resources to properly keep the site going, especially with this happening. Since the attacks dropped us off Google our traffic has been minimal and so we are deciding if it is worth the time and effort to keep this going.

Shutting down the site at this point, due to it being hacked/attacked is rather akin to an abuser telling or threatening the victim to keep his or her mouth shut. Sadly, more often the not, the victim complies and inevitably suffers abuse in silence. Remember, silence is an abuser’s greatest weapon and if you no longer have the amount of volunteers, time, and resources to properly keep the site going, especially with this happening, don’t be afraid to ask for help or for volunteers to keep the site going.
Please keep this important site up and running even if you are not able to update and add new content, it is a valuable resource. Thanks for your efforts.
I really hope that you will keep the site open and I will volunteer 10-20 hours per week to help you, I am no longer going to be so pressed for time and this is AN IMPORTANT WORK.
